ESOL Classes

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until July 6, 2023
If English is not your first language and you want to start at the very beginning, then our FREE ESOL COURSES will help you.
Working in partnership with EPIC (Empowering People in Change ), each course is 10 weeks long and you will need to attend up to 2 sessions a week.
Our non-accredited ESOL courses will support you to practise speaking, listening reading and writing skills and learn the language. It will help interact with your local community and to access training and job opportunities. At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Give information about yourself
- Speak clearly to be understood in conversations about a range of situations
- Listen to and follow instructions
- Read and write the alphabet
- Spell some personal and familiar words
- Write your name and address
- Fill in a simple form
- Read and understand everyday signs and symbols
- Write simple sentences
- Recognise the different cultural festivals celebrated in the UK
Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am – 12.30pm
