
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 27, 2026

If English is not your first language and you want to start at the very beginning, then our FREE ESOL COURSES will help you.
Each course is approximately 10 weeks long and you will need to attend every session.
Our non-accredited ESOL courses will support you to practise speaking, listening reading and writing skills and learn the language. It will help interact with your local community and to access training and job opportunities. At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Give information about yourself
- Speak clearly to be understood in conversations about a range of situations
- Listen to and follow instructions
- Read and write the alphabet
- Spell some personal and familiar words
- Write your name and address
- Fill in a simple form
- Read and understand everyday signs and symbols
- Write simple sentences
- Recognise the different cultural festivals celebrated in the UK

- Cohort 1 – Wednesday, 17th September 2025 – Wednesday, 26th November 2025
- Cohort 2 – Wednesday, 3rd December 2025 – Wednesday, 25th February 2026, and
- Cohort 3 – Wednesday, 4th March 2026 – Wednesday, 27th May 2026
