We have a number of vacancies within North Smethwick Development Trust (registered charity number 1035308 and Company House Number 02736636).
We have a positive working culture here at NSDT and value our team of staff and volunteers. We want to ensure that we recruit the right people to join our team not only with the right skills and experience, but with the right values to support effective team working in delivering excellent customer care and community experience

Customer Service Apprentice
We are looking for a hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated person to join our team as a Customer Service Apprentice. The postholder must be willing to uphold the ethos and support the aims and values of North Smethwick Development Trust. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake training as part of the induction process.
Job Purpose
The successful applicant will deliver great customer service and work well with the team to create a friendly, warm and welcoming environment with the key aim of ensuring our customers enjoy a great service, that they revisit us and recommend us to their colleagues, family and friends.

MATCH DAY CAR PARKING STEWARD
We are looking for a hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated person to join our team as a Match Day Car Parking Steward. The postholder must be willing to uphold the ethos and support the aims and values of North Smethwick Development Trust. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake training as part of the induction process.
Job Purpose
As a car park steward at the Centro or Brasshouse Community Centre Car Park or North Smethwick you will be employed as a match day car park steward for North Smethwick Development Trust for all home games of West Bromwich Albion FC. The postholder will support the car park manager in the smooth and efficient running of the car parking operations and of the staff under your supervision. You will be aware of customer and staff safety and the safety of the operations at all times.

TRUSTEE (VOLUNTARY POSITION)

- We are looking for committed individuals to expand the range of Trustee skills as well as to consolidate existing skills with an eye to succession planning. We require dynamic and motivated people who are sympathetic to the aims and objectives of NSDT to fulfil these voluntary duties. Trustees contribute valuably to the Board by giving strategic direction; setting overall policy; defining goals and setting targets; evaluating performance; ensuring the charity’s effective and efficient administration and financial stability.
- We want to have a wide range of people on the Board, and seek to be representative of the diverse communities of North Smethwick. There is no need to have previous trustee experience to apply as training will be provided. An interest in supporting communities is necessary.
- Trustees are expected to:
- -attend up to seven meetings a year including quarterly Board meetings (all currently on Thursday evenings) and an annual planning day;
- – contribute advice and support on charity and trust topic; and
- – attend events.
- All travel and out of pocket expenses will be paid.
